Debarati Das Knowledge and Research Programme Assistant

Debarati (they/them) is a queer non-binary feminist based in India. As Knowledge and Research Programme Assistant at South Feminist Futures, they primarily work to build, enhance, and sustain the Knowledge Hub to support Southern feminist activism. Their background and core expertise lie in the intersections of gender, digital rights, and decolonising technology through an intersectional feminist lens. They’ve led several capacity and knowledge building programmes on digital care and safety and tech-facilitated gender-based violence with structurally excluded communities of women, adolescent girls, queer and trans persons, sex workers, and disabled individuals in India. Currently, they’re an independent consultant also working in the area of independent technology research and decolonising tech.
